The following is a brief overview of the lessons offered in our Money management Course Banking Basics Most people who pay bills, save and invest money, pay taxes or plan estates, do so through a bank or other financial institution such as a credit union, brokerage house or savings and loan (S&L). this lesson covers the basics of selecting a bank and setting up and managing a checking and savings account. Developing a Budget Have a better picture of your current financial standing. This lesson discusses cash flow, income, and expenses. You will be working with worksheets to determine critical information about your income and what you owe. Stop Spending Leaks This lesson will help you examine your spending habits to see if any problems exist. There are suggestions for changing spending practices and habits. Worksheets help you and other family members commit to a personal plan to change spending habits so funds can be used to reach important goals. |
