Texting While Driving Banned for Federal Staff President Obama signed an executive order banning federal employees from texting while driving. The order covers federal employees when they are using government-provided cars or cell phones and when they are using their own phones and cars to conduct government business. The federal government also plans to ban texting by bus drivers and truckers who travel across state lines, and may also preclude them from using cell phones while driving, except in emergencies. |
